The Hereford and District Group are a branch of the MS Society made up of local residents who work to raise money in order to run regular social gatherings and Exercise classes.
These meetings give members with MS the opportunity to meet up, make new friends and to talk to others who understand their satiation. Feedback from those attending say that the greatest support they get from the local MS group is talking to people, both the newly diagnosed and those who have been living with MS and its consequents for many years.
Finding it invaluable to chat with people who understand what they are going through. Receiving advice based upon lessons other members have learned and the ‘tricks’ they have used to cope with their situation. Those coming to our meetings and Exercise Class’s find it reassuring to discover that they are not the only ones making the same journey.
Exercise classes The group runs Exercise Classes once per week as St Marys church Grandstand Road on Mondays 10:20am. These meetings provide a very safe environment for social interaction and healthy exercise. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Ruth at least two days advance.
