Your body uses energy to get messages from your brain, down your spinal cord and off to where they need to go.  In MS the body starts to attack the myelin whose role is to help the messages travel quickly and smoothly.  This means the body needs to use more energy to get the messages through, resulting in you feeling fatigued.

You may experience physical or cognitive fatigue, or any combination of these.

The good news is that there is lots you can do to improve how you are feeling.

Think of your energy as being like a battery – you need to find ways of conserving your energy and topping it back up.
